Simon Jefferson is a Toronto native and professional musician specializing but not limited to the saxophone with over 30 years experience in live performances, studio session work and instruction. In addition, he is also a DJ and drummer
Geoff takes all these talents and has merged them into a kaleidoscope of creativity designing spontaneous soundscapes on the rc 300 loop station.
In 2016 and 2017 Geoff had the pleasure of working with many great calypsonians both in Trinidad and Antigua and was a guest performer at the miss antigua pageant 2017 and the calypso classic 2017 playing alongside such luminaries like Lord Nelson, Crazy, Short Shirt, Shadow just to name a few.
Geoff had the pleasure of meeting the legendary Roy Cape at his home and had his full endorsement as somebody to look out for in the future. Geoff also performed at kaiso blue in 2016 and 2019 under the hospitality of owners Carl and Carol Jacobs and will be back there in the upcoming 2022 carnival season.
Other highlights include: 1998, 2001, 2005, 2007 Toronto international jazz festivals.
Geoff is presently working on some new compositions for his upcoming CD as well a designing his own clinic materials based on serial 12 tone chromaticism in an interactive workshop the goal being to help the musician become more open and free in their approach. Geoff is very comfortable in any musical setting and strives always to be the complete musician. It is these qualities which separates and gains him the respect among his peers.
