honda crx vtec @ 10k revs! READ DESCRIPTION
b16a2 NASP The temp gaugue is playing up.. This is on german roads with no speed limits so please obey speed limits in your area!
My rev limit on the map was 9798 to be precise and kicked in at excactly 10k on the cluster. This b16 was highly tuned but with a full interior crx. The idle was about 1300 iirc but this was so it would idle when it was cold as the cold idle valves had all been removed. Heres a few of the main mods, wiseco 11.5:1 pistons, skunk2 pro IM 70mm TB, skunk2 pro3 cams, cam wheels, full ported R head tuned on BRE by myself.
Ran for 12ooo miles iirc before selling on and never skipped a beat even after 600miles to the Nurburgring and a complete thrashing at 10k. The new owner is still getting reliability from the engine.
Estimated final HP of 205-210 hp. 135-140lb/ft (AFTER cam dialing tweeks and mandrel exahaust, ebay induction replaced with custom induction)
Best RR graph it put out 198.7hp at about 9400 and 136lb/ft torque. On what is known on the CRX-UK forum as the harshest RR in the UK. (BEFORE cam dialing tweeks and mandrel exahaust, ebay induction replaced with custom induction)
Oh and the 10k dials are one off dials that i did myself. As far as i know the only stock 10k modded cluster in the world ;)
