Why Velma's sexuality matters
Velma Dinkley of the long running Scooby Doo franchise has been openly acknowledged as being attracted to a woman in the recent Trick or Treat Scooby Doo. And while this has been met with some of the expected pushback, there have been some in the community who claim it's not that big a deal since most fans have believed her gay for decades.
