CS2: The Source 2 Engine - UI Overview
In this video about source 2 I'll provide you with a source 2 user interface (UI) overview.
At this point, the source 2 (cs2) user interface is pretty basic - we see a player model once the game has been launched, then only 1 map to choose from when we click play. And the map is Dust 2, of course!
Once we click play on the source 2 UI, we can choose whether we want to play matchmaking in competitive, deathmatch, or private game modes or if we would like to practice. Also, once we are ready to play, we can choose the length of the match, and whether our party is going to be open or closed.
Once we click practice, some additional options are displayed for us on the left hand side: we can choose whether to include bots in the game - bots can be harmless, easy, medium, hard, or experts, and also we can choose to have a grenade camera, infinite ammo, or have an infinite amount of time to warm up as well.
There is also an option for private matchmaking which gives us an ability to create or join a matchmaking pool, or manually enter a code to join a lobby. A code generated for us is also displayed on the right-hand side.
We are also able to observe our inventory, and last but not least, we have the news available to all players. Nothing fancy, just some CS2 related news here and there.
