Do you love using Ableton but somehow wished that the piano roll would be easier. Guess What? Your wish just came true.
This is the midi editor capabilities in Ableton (only for Windows). This is trying to increase the workflow in midi editing inside ableton. The features of this plugin would be the following.
1. Easy toggle feature so that this program only triggers when you need it. You Just press Press Shift + Space to toggle the function ON and OFF. It is recommended to toggle on this when you are editing in the midi window only. After finishing the edit, it is recommended to toggle off so that it won’t affect the main functionality.
2. Zoom: Scroll up and down will simply zoom in and out the notes. This helps in finer adjustment in the notes.
3. Cursor Placement: The cursor placement in midi editor would follow the position in main window too. This helps in tracking where the midi is in reference to the main track.
4.. PRess 'f' to draw notes instead of double click so that you wont have to doublick click everytime you want to draw a note.
5. Delete Multiple Notes: To delete multiple notes, click and hold the left click to select the notes (as default) and click right click before leaving the left click.
6. Quantize: Select any note and press ‘q’ to quantize notes in the nearest grid. Yes, you can quantize multiple notes based on selection.
7. Move Notes: Press ‘w’ , ‘s’, ‘a’ and ‘d’ to move notes up, down, left and right respectively snapped to the grid. Its like playing a game. Isn’t it?
8. Copy Notes: Press Shift+ w/s/a/d to copy the note in the respective direction.
9 .Toggle off (CTRL + \) to return to your default ableton workflow. Press Ctrl + Esc to Exit the program.
