EXCEL
Freeze Panes - it’s a feature that helps you keep certain rows or columns visible while scrolling through large datasets.

What Freeze Panes Does
Freeze top row → Keeps the first row visible while scrolling down.
Freeze first column → Keeps the first column visible while scrolling sideways.
Freeze panes → Locks both rows and columns above/left of the selected cell.

How to Use Freeze Panes
Go to the View tab on the Ribbon.
Click Freeze Panes.
Choose one of the options:
Freeze Panes → Locks rows above and columns to the left of your selection.
Freeze Top Row → Locks only the first row.
Freeze First Column → Locks only the first column.

Example
If you select cell B2 → Freeze Panes → Excel will keep Row 1 and Column A visible while scrolling.
Perfect for large tables where you want headings (like Student Name, Marks, Subject) always visible.

Tips
To remove → View → Unfreeze Panes.
Works best when you have headers at the top or key identifiers in the first column.
Combine with Split (View → Split) if you want multiple scrollable sections.
