The Problem:
If you see a "question mark" over your WiFi or Network icon in Ubuntu even though your internet is working fine, you aren't alone! This is a common false alarm caused by the system's "Connectivity Checker" failing to reach Ubuntu servers, often due to a firewall or slight network delay.
The Solution:
In this video, I’ll show you how to turn this feature off so your status icon stays clean and accurate.
How to Fix It:
Open your Settings menu.
Go to Privacy and Security.
Select Connectivity.
Switch the Connectivity Checking toggle to OFF.
Devices Covered:
This fix works for any Ubuntu machine, including the Dell Desktop, Beelink Mini-PC, and Asus Laptop shown in my setup.
