Professor Syma Khalid, chair of HEC BioSim (http://www.hecbiosim.ac.uk/) discusses the use of the ARCHER supercomputer to tackle COVID-19.
Syma Khalid is Professor of Molecular Biophysics at the University of Southampton, she is also chair of HEC BioSim, a consortium of users from the biomolecular simulation community who user supercomputers for their research. With UKRI’s latest supercomputer, ARCHER2 (operated by EPSRC and NERC), due to replace the current ARCHER service, Syma discusses how ARCHER has provided computational resource and brought researchers together to tackle #COVID-19.
