Discoverer of the structure of DNA
James D. Watson visited the Science Museum in 2018 to discuss the breakthrough and the shockwaves that are still being sent out by his discovery of the double helix molecular configuration of DNA in 1953.
The milestone in modern science, was reported 65 years ago this week in the journal Nature by American James Watson and Briton Francis Crick and still impacts us all today from gene editing to developing new cancer treatments.
