Welcome back, Pokémon Trainers! It's time again for a weekly news update video!

*FIRST AND FOREMOST* I must issue an apology to a number of viewers. I had previously stated that the Pokémon TCG Online code cards that I pulled at the Fates Collide Prerelease I attended last week and offered up to the winners of the Question of the Day as presented in that video would be redeemable the very same day as the video was uploaded. As it turns out, I must have been horribly mistaken, all of the code cards from the 10-card booster packs are currently registering as "INVALID CODE" when input into Pokémon TCG Online. I'm expecting that is because the expansion doesn't officially release until this Wednesday, May 4th. So for any of you who have received one of these code cards, worry not! If the code doesn't work for you now, try it again on Wednesday, and you should find yourself unlocking your very first 10-card Fates Collide booster pack for use in Pokémon TCG Online!

Once again, I've got another Pokémon TCG booster pack to open up! This week will be Primal Clash, with the code card (as always) going out to one lucky viewer. I'll open up the booster near the end of the video, and give you viewers the Question of the Day for you to respond to. Leave your response in a comment down below using the hashtag #QOTD, and you'll be entered into the running to receive the code card (chosen randomly) when I do the drawing this coming Sunday, May 8th.

But that's not all! Another "pack" opening (of sorts) comes in the form of the long-awaited unboxing of the Mythical Pokémon Collection: Jirachi, in celebration of the channel breaking 600 subscribers this week! We'll get to check out the usual assortment of collectibles that comes in each of the Mythical Pokémon Collections coming out throughout the year, as well as offering up the code card for this collection.

Pokémon Shuffle has had a pretty decent update made to it for this week. First of all, new Main Stages and new Special Stages have been added to the game. A Special Shop is now available, in which you can spend Jewels for some rather unique items. As for Special Stages, the mythical Pokémon Mew is available to battle until May 17th. Ending on Tuesday, May 10th, a whole assortment of other Special Stages are currently available as well: standard encounters include Dusknoir and, for the first time ever, Zygarde Complete form; you can battle Azelf in a timed match; Latios is available in an Escalation Battle, with the Latiosite up for grabs if you reach level 50; and finally, a new Pokémon Safari has appeared, containing the Pokémon Duskull, Dusclops, Pumpkaboo, Gourgeist, Zubat, Golbat, and Crobat.

The #Pokemon20 celebration continues on into the month of May, which will otherwise be known as Darkrai Month! The Dark-type nightmare Pokémon will be available for download into your Gen 6 games via a code distributed at GameStop stores throughout the US (and EBGames in Canada). If you don't live in North America, however, visit Serebii.net for more details on which stores will have the codes available in participating countries throughout the world. Also available for Darkrai Month are limited-edition 2" figures and 8" plush dolls of Darkrai, and for a limited time, Pokémon TV will be airing "Pokémon: Rise of the Darkrai", the animated feature film starring Darkrai.

The Pokémon TCG Mythical Pokémon Collection: Darkrai is also currently available in celebration of Darkrai Month. This collection contains the usual assortment as all mythical collections: a foil promo Darkrai card, two Generations booster packs, a Darkrai collectible pin, and an online code card to unlock all these goodies (except for the pin, but along with #Pokemon20 Darkrai card sleeves) in Pokémon TCG Online. I'll be picking up one of these collections myself to hold onto in the hopes that the channel can break 700 subscribers, at which point I'll be unboxing and giving out the code card for the Darkrai collection like I do for the Jirachi collection in this video!

A new Pokémon TCG: XY Trainer Kit is available, which is an excellent way for new players to get accustomed to the game. Seeming to be taking a note from Pokkén Tournament, the two 30-card decks that come in this Trainer Kit are starring Pikachu Libre in one corner, and Suicine in the other corner. Trainer Kits come with a 2-player playmat, 2 guide books describing how to play the game, damage counters, special condition markers, and a Pokémon coin, plus an illustrated deck box and a code card redeemable in Pokémon TCG Online.
