How to get rid of the annoying Kontakt error in the particular case when manually pointing to the installation folder or a specific file fails.
Context: after reinstalling Windows 11 (OS files only, no files or data loss), I reinstalled Cubase, Native Access and so on, only to find that Kontakt wouldn’t recognize my librairies any more. After a deep research, I found the culprit: the .nki library file version Kontakt was looking for was obsolete. In that case, manually pointing to the installation folder doesn’t work. Here’s the solution, easy and simple.
I do apologize for my stammering and hesitating fluence. I’ll do better in the future!
