Interview With the Vampire Season 2 is confirmed by AMC! In fact, the AMC network had so much confidence in the show’s creative talent, that Interview with the Vampire was picked up for Season 2 even BEFORE it debuted on September 29. That confidence and risk really paid off: the first season of the show already has a huge fan following with a 7 out of 10 viewer score on IMDb, and an incredibly high approval score of 99% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. This is the first TV adaptation of the same-name 1976 novel by American author Anne Rice, who, sadly, passed away last December at the age of 80. The 1994 movie adaptation, starring Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Antonio Banderas and Kirsten Dunst was not only a huge commercial success, but it has also banked 24 award wins and 36 nominations, including 2 Oscars. The AMC adaptation definitely goes over the top; and being a TV series, it also goes deeper into each character, so we see a lot more of Louis' relationship with his brother. Season 2 will have eight episodes and will be set in Europe, with creator Rolin Jones coming back as a showrunner. Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid and Bailey Bass will all return as lead actors. The Season 1 ending uncovered the biggest and most shocking truth: Rashid is Armand, the mightiest vampire of them all! And the main big question is whether Lestat has survived Claudia’s plan.
