Willsenton R300: Output Transformer Replacement Continued
In a previous video I showed the performance improvement from replacing the factory output transformers, in this video I show how to install them and connecting the wiring etc.
I still would not recommend investing in high end output transformers on this flawed amp design, but these Hashimoto HC-203U units seem to be a good price/performance compromise to resolve the glaring issues with the output transformers that are installed on this amp.
The 300B is a classic direct heated triode that some say is the best sounding audio tube ever made. This amplifier has gotten a lot of positive reviews from YT influencers in the audiophile world and I'm excited to see if this amp lives up to all the hype that has been created around it.
