When a move like Gamestop or AMC happens in the stock market, that creates opportunity to make life changing money, but it also vastly increases the trading difficulty. If you don't have an objectified trading strategy you can very easily get burned on these types of moves.
As a continuation trader, I've too often not maximized my profits on these kinds of parabolic moves. While I'll make money, I'll end up losing 30% or more of my maximum profits because I let the stocks run back against me too much before my exit signal on my trading strategy is thrown. I want to fix that. So today I created an automated trading strategy within ThinkorSwim using custom ThinkScript code that objectifies what a parabolic stock is and tells the system to exit the trade. I do this by utilizing the RSI, ATR and Bollinger Bands indicators.
