Alan Cadiz was in town and asked if there were any wing foil races happening that week. Nothing was scheduled, so we organized a group of wingers to go on a long downwind run along Oahu's south shore from Hawaii Kai to White Plains. The total distance over water was 44 miles on my GPS. Eli kept winging at White Plains and clocked a total of 54 miles. We "raced" from Portlock to the Diamond Head Buoy, then re-grouped and stayed together from the DH buoy to White Pains Beach.
Derek and I talk about safety, gear, racing, strategy, conditions and the upcoming Maui to Molokai and Molokai to Oahu races. Our talk went longer than the footage, so I repeated the video footage twice,
We hope you enjoy it, Aloha!
