Red skies and Night, sailors delight. Never bring a banana on a ship. It's bad luck to get underway on a Friday. Some of these you have probably heard, maybe some you haven't, but why do they exist? Why do sailors believe these strange superstitions? In this newest series I'll dive into the facts and maybe misguided beliefs commonly held by the sailing man, both modern and past to try and explain it.
