Before the Air Max 95 OG "Neon" is released globally on April 18, Nike has unveiled a unique surprise that harkens back to the original design of the renowned running shoe. Nike is going to release the colorway that was inspired by Sergio Lozano's renderings of the shape for the first time. It has a "Reverse Neon" of the original Black, Grey, Volt hue.
With the assistance of NYC-based filmmaker Ben Solomon, Nike retold the story of the Air Max 95's influence through the eyes of the downtown youth of the era, calling out fashion trends that included ski jackets, hip-packs, and, of course, the Air Max 95. The shoes were announced on the evening of April 8th, 2025, at a special invite-only event at the MoMA Design Store in SoHo, NYC. Nike shocked attendees with an exclusive release of the "Reverse Neon" after the movie ended.
