This video was created in remembrance of the Armenian Genocide and in honor of a people whose spirit endures.

Perched on the edge of a vast gorge in Armenia, Tatev Monastery is more than a destination, it’s a journey into history, resilience, and quiet spiritual depth.

To reach it, you travel on the Wings of Tatev, one of the longest aerial tramways in the world, gliding above the Vorotan River and rugged mountain landscape. And then it appears: ancient stone, rising from the plateau, timeless and still.

Built in the 9th century, Tatev has endured earthquakes, invasions, and centuries of change. Yet it stands, holding within its walls a sense of stillness shaped by generations of prayer, devotion, and presence.

Carved into the cliffs below are cave hermitages where monks once withdrew into silence, seeking the sacred. Even now, the entire landscape feels alive with that same quiet intention.

This video is shared in remembrance of April 24, honoring the 1.5 million Armenians lost in the Genocide of 1915, and in recognition of a culture that chose not only to survive, but to create beauty, preserve faith, and continue.

Tatev is not just a monument to the past. It is a living expression of endurance, love, and spiritual continuity.

If you ever find yourself here, breathe in the mountain air, stand at the edge of the gorge, and take in the stillness. There is something here that stays with you.

Written in remembrance, and in gratitude for all who kept the light alive.
