The Shark Screw® – a screw made from real human donor bone: This bone screw is used in orthopedics and trauma surgery and can be used for hallux valgus, hallux rigidus, bone fractures, osteoarthritis, pseudarthrosis, flat feet, and many other procedures. What makes it so special? Orthopedic surgeon and inventor of the Shark Screw®, Dr. Klaus Pastl, explains in this video.

🦴 Advantages of the Shark Screw® / bone screw:
The major advantage of the Shark Screw® is that it integrates into the natural bone remodeling process. After the Shark Screw (bone screw) is inserted, it is colonized by the body's own cells. This allows the bone screw to integrate completely into the body's own bone, thus promoting natural bone healing. This also saves the patient valuable time and sick leave, as many surgeons still rely on metal for the conventional treatment of bunions, flat feet, fractures, and similar conditions. Since metal is considered a foreign body in the bone, there is a high probability that metal screws and plates will need to be removed, requiring the patient to undergo a second surgery.
❓ Applications of the Shark Screw® / Bone Screw:
The Shark Screw® can be used for bunions, hallux rigidus, flat feet, hammer toes and claw toes, bone fractures, osteoarthritis, and pseudarthrosis.
