So this time, I'm getting out of the city and escaping to Koh Yao Yai and not just anywhere on the island, I'm staying at the Anantara Resort.
What surprised me most? This place is only 30 minutes by boat from Phuket, yet it feels like a completely different world. I'd been hearing a lot about it and honestly, I had to see it for myself.
I kicked things off by hopping on a bike and exploring the island and let me tell you, Koh Yao Yai is something else. No crowds, just lush greenery, fresh air and some seriously stunning views.
Back at the resort, things got even better. The villas, the pool, the dining, the service, everything just felt effortless and beautiful. And then at night? They put on an incredible fire show that honestly blew me away. Definitely one of those moments you don't forget.
