Geocaching Tip 247: Planning all geocaches along a road trip
You have a long car journey ahead of you and want to have all the geocache data with you. Or perhaps you want to plan your breaks around great geocaches. Here's how the "Cache along a route" feature works. For example, you can display the caches with the most favorite points. Or, if you have a compatible car navigation system, you can download the GPX file and then see where nearby geocaches are located as you drive. I often do this; that way, if I need a break, I can see before pulling into a parking lot whether there's a cache there or if I should drive to the next parking lot. Back when I was really into T5 caches, I only had those on my car navigation system. Yes, there were very few of them back then :-)
This is a Geocaching.com Premium feature, by the way. But anyone who enjoys this hobby shouldn't hesitate to pay $30 a year. Most clubs are more expensive!
