With the transparency tool you can make an object fade into the background or let objects be visible from behind another object. There are many types of transparency for an object: flat transparency, fade/linear, three-point, four-point, bitmap and so on. You can use a bitmap to create a transparency for an object using the darker and lighter areas in the photo.
The transparency tool is easy to use and with the multiple parameters of the tool, you can tweak the transparency strength, the opacity profile, and more.
