Race for the Moon: Ancient Interpretations of the Lunar Mystery - a lecture by Manly P. Hall.
Hall speaks about space and the moon from a historical and cultural perspective. He then goes on to discuss the difficulties of disclosure, and how confirmation of other civilizations would affect almost every aspect of our lives and worldview.
Context:
This public lecture was recorded on February 16, 1958, 4 months after the USSR launched Sputnik, 2 weeks after the USA launched Explorer, and 11 years before the Apollo 11 moon mission. It was a time of Soviet-US tension and the beginning of the Space Race.
