The macaw returned home after being kept in a cage. / parrot in carrying/ it is not a cage
That's how Livesey the Macaw arrived home. He didn't even leave his carrier right away.
We thank everyone who watches and participates in the life of the Ara FM channel; without you, our channel wouldn't exist.
Ara FM is a vlog about the lives of parrots and our other animals. A parrot isn't a toy; it's serious. And a parrot like an African Grey, a cockatoo, or a macaw is a lifelong companion. They live 50-70 years. Therefore, you need to think carefully before buying a parrot. A large parrot requires a lot of attention, care, and upkeep, but it also brings endless happiness to its owner. Cockatoos, macaws, and African Greys are eternal children, and they have strong personalities.
If you decide to buy a parrot, you should first familiarize yourself with their personalities. Each parrot species has a very different character and temperament. You need to choose the right one for you and your family.
A large macaw is a willful, vibrant bird. Macaws can be dangerous. Therefore, it's important to carefully train your parrot. I'm not talking about training a parrot, but about proper training. The bird must understand that biting and destroying furniture are not allowed.
It's essential to familiarize yourself with the care information. Parrot nutrition is extremely important. If you don't feed your parrot the right amount, it will look bad and become ill. DO NOT feed your parrot from the table. Only fruits, vegetables, and a special formula for your breed.
If you want a talking parrot, consider an African Grey or an Amazon. Remember Grigoriy, the African Grey! He's a conversationalist! Amazons are also good talkers. Our Cuban Amazon also talks well.
If you want a singing parrot, consider the following breeds: rosella, budgerigars, and often cockatiels. In principle, an African Grey can both talk and sing.
