MAKULAY RESORT SIARGAO TOUR | PHILIPPINES
This video will highlight the place and resort of choice we stayed in the island of Siargao, Philippines. We decided that we wanted to stay in a more quieter area of the island where theres not a lot of tourists but is still accessible everywhere else. We chose the Santa Fe Siargao area for that. And the nicer resort based on photos online is the Makulay Resort Siargao. The way towards the resort is quite rough and not paved, but the resort is nicely located in front of the sea. We rented a scooter with the assistance of the resort. Scooter or a Motor bike is best way to get around the island, plus is more cheaper. The look of the Villa that we stayed is so appealing, specially through photos online. However, there are some stuffs that we were so disappointed from. Firstly, the AC is not working when you actually payed for it (3 nights no AC at all). Secondly, the electric fan is so dirty and dust and theres a coweb build up (we asked them to clean it when it should be cleaned before any guest arrives). Thirdly, ants on the floor greeted inside the villa. Fourth, lights on the toilet and the shower area are busted (we just inform them about the light in the toilet because it is dark and enclosed there). Fifth, shower gel is not present but shampoo and conditioner are. Sixth, the kettle has a calcar build up which should be checked and cleaned before guest arrives (we asked them to clean it). Seventh, the sliding door to enter the patio from the bedroom is not secure and cannot be locked (we inform them about it and they only secured it with a flimsy hook). Eight, there are particles from the ceiling which are falling straight down to the bed and floor at all times, specially when its windy. You will even wake up in the morning with full of this so-called particles from the ceiling. These are some of the stuffs that were so basic but was not taken care of in which anybody who pays a good amount of money for a good stay should expect. Overall, the stay we had in this resort is not as we anticipated to be but the location itself was great because of the scenery that you see. We ended up taking advantage of the scenery by taking good videos, photos and drone shots.
