DSPy is a set of controls at the input level for better outputs

And so to kind of visualize that in a more classic black box way, we move a step outside of our black box. When we provide our input, we can actually insert DSP to kind of allow us.
A step before the line, a step that gives us some control knobs, an optimizer step one that allows us to sort of tweak the input so we can get a better output.
And so we can sort of think about this as a prompt optimizer. We can sort of think about this as ourselves writing the prompt as DSP being this optimizer step and as the LLM then benefiting and the response ultimately benefiting from that optimization of the prompt.
