Nintendo 3DS Dev Kits + SGI ONYX Supercomputer for Ultra64 circa 1993 & More! [#37]
In this video I talk about some of the Nintendo 3DS development kits I plan to demo here on my channel. I do provide a brief Show-N-Tell of one particular model. I also show off some Arcade components I recently acquired.
To close off the video I talk about a very rare SGI Supercomputer I obtained, known as the "ONYX" deskside model. These Onyx systems were used for early N64 development (Ultra64), by running a custom OpenGL based Emulator. This was a requirement as the N64 consoles were still being built by SGI and were not available to developers for development use. This allowed developers to move forward developing games, and complete them on time for the consoles official release date.
