Mazak Orbitec 20
Mazak's innovative new ORBITEC 20 greatly reduces setup times and improve throughput for manufacturers in the valve industry. Ideal for energy manufacturers, the ORBITEC 20 is a cost-effective, innovative valve body production center that completes more than 75% of valve applications in one setup while maintaining high tolerances.
The patented technology in the ORBITEC 20 offers unmatched machining capabilities for high precision component machining of brass and steel. Equipped with a 40 hp, 600 rpm integrated spindle motor and axis travels of 11.8" (X), 23.62" (U), 23.62" (V), 48.43" (Z), the ORBITEC 20 is able to complete a variety of valve features, including the facing of flange surfaces, conical boring of taper holes, face milling and endmilling, in a single setup.
The valve manufacturing body production center also features a 20" diameter turning capability with a patented facing head. Additionally, a two-pallet changer option is available, enabling Mazak's PALLETECH solution to link the ORBITEC 20 with Mazak machining centers.
