The leveling order for your support heroes to level 10k does not make a huge difference, as long as you start with Pure Wizard and Dark Necromancer. After that pick the heroes that you are using in your build, preferable those that you use in multiple different builds. The order recommended in the video is based for new player starting out with full lightning build.
Also if you are currently leveling Lightning Castle (cannon), you can level that one up to level 10.000 before starting with the support units. That will also get you 1 skillpoint and level 10k castle part can be somewhat useful in early game!
Best Green Orbs to pick first are: "Damage skill lv" and "Hero Damage skill lv" Orbs. After that Critical chance is valid option, Bonus Gold is also handy for gold builds.
Best Red Orb for most cases is the Cursed Orb. It gives similar buff as Dark Necromancers skill does.
