When Daisy was new to the railway she was had become popular with enthusiasts for being the first official diesel on the North Western Railway and for being in the thin clergyman's book a year prior. With that, the Railway Society had orgainised a special trip with her on Thomas' branch line. This of course led to boasting especially towards Henry.
Incident is based on an event by BR 5MT 44894 rescuing a DMU on the Windermere branch line only to be saved three days later by D5280 in 1968. Found in the magazine 'The End of Steam: Rail's Seismic Summer of '68' by Robin Jones Pg.47.
