Poe Chatbot is a new Chatbot from the team at Quora that has really changed the game.
Poe uses Claude, Claude+, Dragonfly, Sage, ChatGPT, ChatGPT4 and Claude-Instant.
The different chatbots were developed by different makers. I'm sure you're familiar with OpenAI, but Claude was developed by Anthropic. There are more people in the picture of AI development.
I also give some comments on the nature of search and how that is changing.

Chatbots from companies like Anthropic, PBC are designed to have more human-like conversations.
• Training - Some chatbots are trained on huge datasets of human dialog, while others use more limited datasets or even self-supervised learning techniques. Chatbots trained on larger datasets tend to have more natural language abilities.
• Personalization - Chatbots can range from generic ones used across multiple users to personalized chatbots tailored for individual users or groups. Personalized chatbots are able to remember a user's personal details, interests, preferences and have more customized conversations.
• Architecture - Chatbot architectures vary from simple rule-based systems to machine learning models like NLP pipelines, retrieval models, generative models (e.g. GPT-3). Machine learning based chatbots tend to be more capable but also more complex.
• Purpose - Chatbots are used for many different purposes like customer service, marketing, education, healthcare, finance, and more. The type of capabilities and training a chatbot requires depends heavily on its intended use case.
• Openness - Some chatbot APIs and platforms are open source while others are proprietary commercial solutions. Open source options provide more flexibility and customization possibilities but often with fewer features and less support.
• Interface - Chatbot interfaces range from text-based ( Messages, Commands) to voice-based (Voice User Interfaces) to even avatar-based interfaces. The interface a chatbot uses depends on its intended interaction design.
