📝 1. Network and talked to people who were in IT
📝 2. I made the decision to learn about what I didn't know
📝 3. I went for an associates degree in Cyber Security & took certs at my local community college.
📝 4. I applied for jobs I had education & knowledge on and experience through lab assignments with no certs. I was going to be trained anyway and certs will be paid for by the company.
📝 5. Rinse & Repeat for the next field of interest. There are so many area's of opportunity and growth in IT.
