There are three methods to solve systems of equations with two unknowns: substitution, matching, and reduction. In this video, I teach you how to solve systems using the substitution method.
This method consists of the following steps:
1. Solve one of the unknowns in one of the equations.
2. In the other equation, substitute that unknown with the expression obtained from solving, thus obtaining an equation with only one unknown.
3. Solve the equation to find the value of the unknown.
4. Return to the solution we performed in the first step and substitute the value of the unknown that we already know to find the value of the other unknown.
