Xbox One DTS audio delay

This video shows the audio delay between the stereo signal via HDMI (heard first through the TV speakers), and the audio via the optical output (heard second through the surround sound system).

DTS is selected first, and you can hear a significant delay, each click is almost heard twice. Then stereo via the optical is selected, and the two clicks then sound almost at the same time. Then back to DTS, and the delay is back.

Obviously you don't normally have the sound coming from your TV and surround sound at the same time, but this was to show that the DTS sound has a large delay that renders DVDs unwatchable, but is also obvious in most games.

This could be a problem with my amp, but I used the same system on my Xbox 360 without any issues like this. It even worked on DVDs that had DTS soundtracks, and so it's unlikely to be a DTS issue with my amp.

It's a simple test to see if you have a similar delay.
