The Direct Clutch Services/Mazfix team hit the track yesterday at the first "Super Sportsman" event for the 2011 / 2012 season. Daniel Swanney of ProModz was again at the wheel and completed his licensing in the car. He ran an 8.2 early on in qualifying, then an 8.3 @ 178 before puncturing a tire on the next pass. With kind donations on the day from a fellow Torana racer and also from "20BKILR" owner Chris Hall, saw the car with wheels back on the front and ready to go. A few tweaks from Archie then saw a pb for Dan with a 7.87 @ 178mph on the next pass, just .07 off Jerry's pb. The car then had 'traction issues' on the final run. :)
There is a lot more to come from this car.
