This time, I actually wanted to show you how Ares greets me when I've been away for a while. Normally, he notices the moment I come through the garden gate, gets up, and comes running right over. That's why I turned on the camera as soon as I walked in, confident I could film his typical greeting.
But this time, nothing happens at all. No Ares at the gate, no one comes running up, and he's nowhere to be seen on the patios either. So I continue walking through the garden, look past the pond, and start wondering where my Rottweiler is. The longer I look, the stranger it gets, because Ares usually never misses a chance to greet me.
Eventually, I spot him—and can hardly believe what he's been doing while I'm gone. Instead of waiting for me, Ares obviously had his own agenda again. For him, it seems there's nothing but water, bathing, and relaxation.
Typical Ares: As soon as there's an opportunity to cool off, everything else becomes secondary. Even Dad can apparently wait a little while. 😂🐾
Just another day with a water-obsessed Rottweiler who has his priorities pretty clearly defined.
