I used to think the fast, keyboard-driven, good-looking desktop setups were mostly a Linux thing. I was wrong.

In this video I show you my beginner-friendly yabai workflow on macOS, why I keep SIP on, and why I think most people should stop overcomplicating window management on day one. I’ll show you the messy “old workflow” first, then the cleaner setup I use now, including how I keep most apps on a single desktop, switch straight to apps instead of hopping across workspaces, and move windows across monitors when I’m streaming.

I also go over the important parts of my yabairc, explain what yabai and SIP actually are, and give you my take on other window managers like AeroSpace and Rift.

If you want a faster macOS workflow without turning your setup into a science project, this video is for you.
