How to define a batch server group in SAP
Usually, an SAP background job can run on any background instance of the system without targeting. The user cannot predict which server the system ultimately allows a job too.
However, experience has shown that it is sometimes very useful for the customer to restrict the
Amount of possible execution servers in this case as well
► Follow the below Steps to Create a Batch Server Group
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) T-Code – SM61
2) Click on – Job Servergruppen
3) Create Group
4) Group Name – “SAP_DEFAULT_BATCH” (Hardcode in SAP So
Don’t Change Name, Case Sensitive)
5) Click on “Assignment+” Tab and add Instance Name
6) You Can Assign Multi-Instance
7) Save & Done
