Gigafactory Texas on 22 June 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!
Another great day to fly at Giga Texas … bit cloudy and cooler, but busy across the site this morning! Biggest news from today is the arrival of another huge bridge crane on a truck for the stamping machine east bay! This crane should complete the stamping machine bridge crane installation in the entire facility!

Here are the highlights from today's video:
As mentioned, another exceptionally large bridge crane arrived on truck this morning for the stamping machine east bay. This will be over the second stamping machine area within this structure and completes the permanent crane installation.
In the central area, we see the water vaults are being covered with compacted dirt and the footings for columns are as well. There still appears to be a need for a row of footings at the south edge of the excavation area to allow for a superstructure to be installed over this area. I do not believe the water vaults are for storm water storage in this area … rather, they may be for industrial water storage for the paint shop processes.
The west steel structure is growing again to the south, with two more sections being added this morning. The double row of windows on the west side are complete in the section they have been installed in and we see the covering for the large freight elevator shaft removed, possibly for more installation work or to install the permanent roof cover for this shaft.
On the west side of the General Assembly building, we see a lot of green plumbing pipe (sewage) being installed along the entire length of the building. We also see, on the south end near the bridge, drilling crews working to route the water and/or sewage pipes under the river (I think that is where they are drilling)
In the battery cell structure, we see a new temporary loading dock scaffolding installed on the north end, signifying we should start seeing a lot of equipment deliveries in this area soon. Also, more ground floor work with trenching for plumbing and several areas for more reinforced slabs.
In the casting machine area, we see many sections of roof ‘Double-T” panels now installed, growing in width to two column rows. More of the double T’s are arriving this morning via truck, as are more roof and cross beams. They also continue to product a lot of front Model Y castings every day, and today is not an exception. Are these being stored, shipped to CA, or recycled? At this point, I do not know.
Over on the south end of the east parking lot, the excavation pit gets larger, and many large, corrugated pipes have been stacked. Interestingly, these are being trucked in and not made at the on-site pipe mill. It is very possible we are seeing the construction of an underground storm water manifold detention system that will augment the water detention ponds.
