Barcelona and Eintracht Frankfurt faced each other in the quarterfinals of the 2021-2022 UEFA Europa League.
After the 1-1 draw in the first leg, the second leg was played at Camp Nou, and in the middle of Easter, Barcelona was filled with 30,000 German fans who invaded and painted the Blaugrana stadium white. The shocking sight of the Blaugrana stadium overwhelmed the home side, and an early penalty from Eric García on Lindström started the German avalanche. Kostic broke the tie from the penalty spot, and just after the half-hour mark, Santos Borré scored the second with an unstoppable shot.
After the break, Aubameyang came close to reducing the deficit, but it was Kostic who found the net to seal the tie. Barcelona's reaction came too late, and goals from Busquets... and Memphis' penalty only glossed over Eintracht's historic victory at the Blaugrana stadium.
