This New Guild Boss Is a DISASTER – Zerbus Matrix 1 Is Literally Broken ... ⁂ Watcher of Realms
The new weekly guild boss Matrix 1 (Zerbus) could’ve been one of the best pieces of content in Watcher of Realms — but right now, it’s a complete disaster. On paper, this fight is incredibly unique: a guild boss that requires AoE damage instead of the usual single-target setups. It has the potential to make heroes that are rarely used in boss content suddenly relevant again.
Unfortunately, in its current state, the encounter is unbeatable. After extensive testing on the Forerunner servers, we’ve confirmed that even a fully maxed 30-member guild can’t clear it. In this video, I break down Behemoth’s five-page formal analysis of the Matrix 1 fight and explain exactly why it’s broken.
Zerbus’ Focus Strike deals true damage that ignores defense, hitting in five devastating pulses over eleven seconds. The only tank capable of surviving it is Cyrus, and even then, only because of his unique summon mechanics. No amount of defense or damage reduction helps — only shields, and even those can’t keep up.
To make things worse, damage output is hard-capped, meaning even the best setups can’t reach the required total to earn the top guild chest. The best recorded Forerunner score so far is 61 k — far below the required 320 k.
We’re not posting this for clicks — we’re posting it as a warning to Moonton: this content needs to be fixed before its intended release on Monday, October 13.
