Starfighter Origins - Hoooooo Boy - Let's Preview
Hey friends, welcome to Starfighter Origins! This first-person combat starfighter flight simulator comes out on Steam next week, so I put it through its paces. Or, to be more specific,it puts me through my paces, but booyyyeeeeeooohh does this game have some issues. First, after spending 30ish minutes tweaking the controls with my HOTAS, that DEFINITELY wasn't fun, as the controls were skittish and actually problematic, as my ship would bounce around even if I was keeping the stick centered. I then did an experiment wherein I unplugged my HOTAS and plugged in an XBOX 360 controller. The game then seemed to work fine, until the second simulation mission wherein, during the briefing, my ship just flung itself into the ceiling (or at one point, through the carrier itself) before exploding. So yeah, some issues need to be addressed, and by god I hope they are, because we need solid single player space sims.
