DoorDash App CRASHED! Best Tips For Future Crashes
The DoorDash app seems to crash all the time and can be extremely frustrating for drivers. This can drastically hurt your earnings for the day, so you need to be prepared for when this happens. The first thing I do to even determine if there's a DoorDash app crash is to go to the DoorDash Help Twitter account. They always tweet if a there is a crash, but sometimes it may take the company a few minutes to post. In the meantime, you can also check the various DoorDash Facebook groups to see if anyone has mentioned a recent potential app crash. There are many local and national Facebook groups to choose from.
When your phone cannot immediately connect with DoorDash to receive offers or deliver offers, this does not mean the app has crashed. Make sure you are doing everything you can to stay connected to the app. The first tip to stay connected is to turn off your phone's Wi-Fi. The phone may attempt to connect to various networks as you're driving down the road, which could hurt your chances of receiving offers. I have also stopped driving into the mountains to deliver orders, because I've learned my phone loses service if I get too far away from the city, which restricts me from submitting pictures of the drop-off and completing orders. If the DoorDash app crashed, the only thing you can do is be patient and flexible because if you need the money, you will need to drive another time you didn't expect. This isn't fair, but it's the only thing we can do as independent contractors. We must control what we can and not get too upset if things don't go our way.
