Today I set out to make an SSTO inspired by one of the most innovative and exciting spacecraft concepts in recent history: Skylon!
Skylon is a single-stage-to-orbit spaceplane design developed by British company Reaction Engines limited, and it’s probably the closest thing we have to a real-life SSTO. And ever since I found out Kerbal Space Program 2 has large cylindrical cargo bays, I really wanted to recreate it! Unfortunately, attempting to make a “real scale” version of skylon resulted in this bug, that cause highly-complex vehicles to collapse into an unusable pile in the floor of the VAB. And after my Vall mission I really…couldn’t, so instead we’re gonna go ahead and make a micro-scale Skylon instead! Enjoy!
