From March 17 to 22, the 19th International Docomomo Conference (IDC) was held in Los Angeles, structured around three central themes: Climate, Community and Creativity.

Ahead of the conference, from March 12 to 17, a student workshop was organized around the exploration of adaptive housing rehabilitation, with the aim of preserving and extending the use of the Los Angeles County Hall of Records, designed by Richard Neutra and Robert Alexander in 1962.

This project is part of a series of initiatives launched by the Contemporary Heritage workshop in 2015, and continues the work begun with the Blended Intensive Program (BIP) "Interventions on Contemporary Architectural Heritage" in 2023 - both reflecting ENSAM's commitment to opening up spaces for mobility and projects, both pedagogical and research-oriented, in North America, on high-potential themes.

A group of 12 students, including 5 from ENSAM, took part in the workshop, benefiting from the expert guidance of Eui-Sung Yi, Andrea Canziani, Wido Quist, Devin Colman, Fernando Diniz Moreira, Karolina Pieniążek, Wessel de Jonge, Carolina Quiroga and Grace Ong Yan.
