Fresh intelligence warnings have raised fears that the Russia-Ukraine war could spill beyond Ukraine's borders. According to intelligence assessments cited by multiple reports, officials in Latvia and another NATO member state believe Russia may be preparing a possible provocation targeting the Baltic states or Poland. The alleged objective would not be a full-scale invasion, but rather a limited hybrid operation aimed at testing NATO's unity and deterring continued Western support for Ukraine. The warnings come after Ukraine intensified long-range drone strikes deep inside Russia, including attacks targeting Moscow and other strategic locations, further escalating tensions between Moscow and the West. Latvian intelligence has suggested that any future action could involve missiles, drones, cyberattacks, or sabotage rather than a conventional military offensive. While officials stress there is no evidence of an imminent large-scale attack, the developments have renewed concerns over security along NATO's eastern flank.
