I'm sick and tired of costumers putting all their actors in sad beige, greige, and shades of brown for the latest mediocre Netflix Jane Austen remake (or any period drama, if I'm being honest). So, in the pursuit of dopamine, and the curiosity in how easy it would have been to achieve bright colors dying with natural plants, my friends Chrissy and @NicoleRudolph decided a weekend of dye experiments was in order.
We had lots of fun, didn't make a total mess, and learned a ton in the process.
Dyes we used: https://shepherdtextiles.com/naturaldyes and Jacquard Pre-Reduced Indigo (https://amzn.to/47Gna83) the books we referenced were

and

Both books were fantastic, but if i had to recommend one, it would be Wild Color.
