Stuff I cut or altered from • Godzilla Gets a YouTube Award, Part 2... and • Godzilla Gets a YouTube Award Part 3 ...
Both videos were running too long and needed trimming.
Technically • Godzilla (Badly) Explains His Origin can also be considered an alternate deleted scene, as it was meant to be part of these videos.
One of the main recurring topics of my videos are the occasional references to paleontology and paleo-imagery. Originally, during Anguirus' review of his dinosaur toy, I also wanted him to reference Anthony Beeson, the scientific consultant of the toy company CollectA who has overseen the design of their prehistoric animal figurines, as Anguirus' toy is also meant to be a nod to CollectA figures. But given the video's vulgar humor and the fact that Anthony was already rather old, I decided to cut the joke as I didn't want to seem disrespectful toward him. On May 11, less than two weeks after I posted Part 2 of the video, it was announced that Anthony had sadly passed away at the age of 72. Thus in retrospect, I feel that removing his reference from this scene was a good decision.
The final scene shown here references Dean Owen and his infamous pornographic novel adaptation of the movie Reptilicus. I decided to cut this reference and redo the dialogue because this version just didn't feel right, it was meandering away from the main topic.
