Must have upgrade for your Toyota Hiace
This is the JDM Off-road lift kit for the Toyota Hiace. This is a quick install video with a little off-roading at the end. I forgot to mention in the video but to get the new rear springs installed, I had to disconnect the rear pan-hard bar which allowed the axle to drop further down. The lift was relatively easy to install, especially compared to other suspension types on other trucks/vans.
The ride is very similar to stock but more responsive - the ride is not stiffer or softer than OEM.
Tires are 235/70R16 Toyo Open Country A/T III. With this lift, you can install 235/75R15, 235/70R16, or 235/65/R17 tires. Some trimming of the front mud flaps and lower forward rocker may be required - I rub slightly only off-road when the front tire is tucked in the wheel well and turning.
