At the Marseille Astrophysics Laboratory, a particularly meticulous task is underway. Scientists have developed a technique for perfectly polishing small mirrors. Commissioned by NASA, eight of these mirrors will be sent into space in 2027 aboard the Roman Space Telescope. These small mirrors, 6 cm in diameter, will contribute to collecting images of exoplanets for the first time.
